BEAUTY BAR: We All Need Our Greens!

Just as much as your clothes express who you are, so does your hair.  A chic ponytail says that you mean business and a fun braid says that you’re playful, so what does…green hair mean? It means that you march to the beat of your own drum.

Dying your hair an unusual color is so much fun. It makes you stand out in a crowd and allows you to be unique. Any person—myself included—who has or has wanted to dye their hair a color other than the traditional blonde, brown or black, knows that so many people will tell you not to. They’ll tell you that it won’t look good or that you’ll regret it.

But if you’re like this Fashionista, those outside voices are just noise in the background. Instead of transforming all of her hair, she added accent pieces to the front while some sections remained blonde. Since her hair is already a light color, the dye easily held on and is vibrant.

If this pop of color doesn’t seem like enough too add to your look, try using a curling wand to give your overall hairstyle even more dimension. This one by Remington is my personal favorite for creating effortless, beachy waves.

The most important thing to remember when changing your hair color this drastically is to make sure you use the right products to keep your locks from drying out.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To recreate this look, if you have dark hair, you’ll want to start by lightening sections that you want to dye (you can skip that step if your hair is already a light blonde). Then add in your favorite hue which Manic Panic is one of my favorite brands of hair dye, and with the wide color selection you’re bound to find one that matches your personality exactly! Once your new do is complete, make sure to keep it hydrated with these Paul Mitchell products. Upkeep is key to pulling off a look like this!
