BEAUTY BAR: Tousled and Textured

Hello Fashionistas/os, I hope you’re having a super semester so far! Waking up for morning classes can be horrible, let alone looking presentable for them, so, never fear! I’m here with some tips and tricks that will hopefully make your mornings more bearable.

“There is no sunrise so beautiful that is worth waking up to see” is what I like to say. If you are not a morning person like myself you may find this hairstyle fitting for your morning routine. It is quick and simple and very elegant if I do say so myself.

The “half-high pony” trend has been on everyone’s radars this season and has been extremely popular. This Fashionista went for the natural side of things by letting her hair air-dry and scrunching up the ends to create maximum potential waves. This little mantra has helped girls stave off unwanted frizz and worn religiously by long-haired Fashionistas to eliminate lengthy touch-ups in between classes. By grabbing the top section of your hair and securing it with a cute scrunchie or simple hair tie, it will add volume and diversity to wavy hair. Add a little de-frizz spray and voila! You have a cute five-minute hairstyle and ready to conquer the day. Wearing a neutral outfit makes this look even more effortless and makes the hairstyle stand out without portraying an over-the-top appearance. A fresh-faced makeup look will also complete your look however adding a bold lip or smoky eye could spice things up a little bit and create a more edgy look.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete this look you’ll need a de-frizz spray, hairspray and any hair ties you have laying around. By using the “scrunch” technique it will create texture and volume. Make sure to pull on the top of the ponytail to achieve maximum height!
