BEAUTY BAR: The Not-So Smokey Eye

Summer trends are my favorite; everything is better when the sun is shining. A perfect look for summer begins with losing the eyeshadow and eyeliner. I’m sure all of you have heard the saying “less is more,” but it is so true, especially in the summer. Why, you ask? I can imagine you all agree with me when I say that everyone also looks better with a gorgeous tan. When you have that sun-kissed look, all you need is a little mascara to make those lashes more visible and darker.

Coloring in eyebrows is certainly not a new trend coming out, but it is getting more popular. I was always opposed to coloring mine in until I tried it. Now, I can’t leave my house without it.

Summer makeup is supposed to be easy and look natural. To get this look, highlight your face. With a good tan, add a little bronzer and call it a day. Fill in those eyebrows to perfectly match your hair, and add some mascara—just enough to define those eyelashes. Lipstick, as I’ve mentioned before, is always a good idea no matter where you’re going. It can be dressy and classic or cute and casual. It’s the perfect accessory to add to a black dress or a bland outfit. Pick the perfect shade to match your sun-kissed skin.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To complement your tan perfectly, go for a slightly darker shade of lipstick. Pick a mascara that works best for you; for me it is Loreal. Moving on to the brows, you can use any type of shadow or liner to color them in perfectly.
