BEAUTY BAR: Suns Out, Buns Out

April 4th, 2016 at 2:00am

Thank God for daylights savings! If it were’t for the sun rising so early, getting out of bed and dressed for an 8:00 a.m. class would be impossible. The light seeping in through your window is an abrupt wake up call, motivating you to pick out an outfit and attempt to do your hair and makeup as effortlessly as you can. All this preparation just to look effortless and casual while simultaneously stealing your classmates attention. Luckily, this Fashionista knows exactly what to do to achieve this look!

High buns are easy, comfortable and super cute. Sometimes you’re just at a loss for what to do your hair, but getting it off your face is a must. Throwing it up in a top bun takes the messiness away from the whole look, keeping it sophisticated and easy. To complement this classic look, this Fashionista kept her makeup light. With winter over, heavy eyeliner is no longer necessary. Some light foundation and mascara are  perfect for a day of classes. Now that it’s spring, let the sun catch you and help you get some color!

This Fashionista is a girl after my own heart combining both heels and sneakers into a fun but comfortable shoe choice. The black heel of the shoe makes you look twice. She pairs these with a black ripped jean jacket and a mesh, long sleeve T-shirt. While it may be spring, it is still windy some days leaving this jacket to be a perfect throw on layer. The outfit comes together perfectly for walking around campus for a day full of classes. All in all, the cute outfit perfectly and effortlessly complements the bun and light makeup. This Fashionista is ready for any 8:00 a.m. class her schedule throws at her.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Any type of hair works for this effortless look! Just hold your hair over your head and the possibilities are endless. Some stores like CVS, Walmart or any beauty supply place have special items and tricks for achieving the perfect bun. Whether it’s a teased bun, a ballerina bun, a messy bun, just have fun with it!
