BEAUTY BAR: Sun-kissed Summer

July 29th, 2015 at 2:10am

Summer is in full swing and so is the heat! With 90 degree temperatures, wearing a lot of makeup isn’t ideal. I know I have been skipping out on it at all together most days. It’s good to give your skin a break sometimes and just go 100 percent natural. Besides, we’re all flawless anyways! For those days you do feel like putting on a little bit of makeup, this Fashionista is bringing us all of the summer makeup goals.

This Fashionista has mastered the art of the sun-kissed makeup look. Her face looks natural and fresh with the perfect amount of bronzing and highlighting. It’s like her skin is lit from within! She told me she also put some bronzer in the crease of her eyes for soft definition instead of using an eyeshadow. Being able to use one product two ways is always a win-win. Her cute and casual outfit complements her natural makeup nicely. The loose Brandy Melville baby doll dress paired with a thrifted denim shirt and white Converse high-tops is the ultimate summer look. It’s perfect for taking a stroll down the boardwalk or doing a mall crawl. This outfit and makeup combination can take you anywhere.

Another plus for this makeup look is it’s easy to touch up throughout the day if need be. Just reapply a bit of highlighter and bronzer and you’re literally golden! You’ll be walking on sunshine all day long!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To get this Fashionista’s sun-kissed summer look, you’ll need a bronzer and highlighter as well as the concealer, face powder and mascara you would usually use. Conceal, powder and apply mascara as normal with a light hand, then sweep on your bronzer in a “3” motion along your temples, cheek bones and below the jawline. Don’t forgot to put some bronzer in the crease of your eyes as well. Finally, dust on some highlighter where the light would naturally hit your skin above your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and on the cupids bow. You’re ready those summer days and summer nights!
