BEAUTY BAR: Ride the Wave

While everyone is melting away in the warm summer sun, it is still important that your makeup looks fresh and hair looks fabulous. Keep everything light and airy, not hot and sticky.

A hot trend for summer is beachy waves. Beachy waves are an easy hairstyle that never gets old and always looks great going to dinner, the beach or hanging with your girls. This Fashionista conquers beachy waves with ease.

To start things off, I like using a small dab keratin oil after blow drying my hair to give it some extra shine.  The next step is to use a medium to large size curling iron and curl one-inch or half-inch sections of your hair, depending on how loose you want your curls. Take a paddle brush and gently brush your curls. Run your fingers through your hair to also loosen the curls. Finish the look by lightly spraying with hair spray or texture spray to keep your curls all day long.

Another trend this Fashionista pulls off well is her bright lip color and bold brow. She matches her coral red lip to her shorts to be extra bold. This works because her crop top is a neutral color, which evens things out. Using lipstick rather than lip gloss is better if you don’t want to have that sticky feeling on your lips all day. Lipstick will also last longer throughout the day. The other trend I envy this Fashionista for is her perfectly bold brows. Pull off a bold brow by keeping your eyes simple. Use a brow pencil or brow brush with one to two shades darker color than your natural brows.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? For this look, it is important to have a curling iron, hair shine oil, hair spray and a brush. To complete the makeup look this Fashionista displays, you will need a bold lip color and brow kit.
