BEAUTY BAR: Pop of Purple

Take this as my official confession, I am addicted to watching makeup tutorials. It doesn’t matter what social media platform I am on at the moment, I always find myself watching some form of makeup video. The makeup possibilities are genuinely endless. You can literally use makeup to make it look like you have absolutely no makeup on. Maybe I’m just weird, but that’s amazing to me.

Makeup to me is the best accessory. Some people prefer purses and some prefer shoes. I prefer all three because lets be real, a girl can never have too many accessories.

This stylish Fashionista stood out to me initially, but after learning of her source of inspiration, I could not let her get away without photographing her amazing makeup and outfit of the day. When asked how she got the inspiration for her makeup look, she admitted that she got it from watching makeup tutorials online. It’s not just me that obsesses over makeup tutorials guys, there are others!!! She is wearing a unique peacock patterned zip front shirt that she paired with black high-waisted shorts and black knee-high heels which complements her makeup perfectly.

Saying it best herself, “If your makeup doesn’t match your outfit, you’re doing it wrong. Go for bold,” which is exactly what she did. Not only did this Fashionista go bold with her outfit, her makeup is just as daring. After applying her foundation, she enhanced her facial features by contouring with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in light to medium and highlighting with the Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter.

This unique eye look was created with the Meet Matt(e) Trimony Matte Eyeshadow Palette, Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Mudcake, MAC Cosmetics Fluidline Gel Liner in BlackTrack, and Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.

To achieve her bold lips, she lined her lips with a black eyeliner and added Wet N Wild Megalast Lip Color in Vamp It Up. She also added Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Mudcake onto the center giving her lips an iridescent reflection and pulling the look all together.

From eyeshadow to lip products, going bold is a look that I hope everyone embraces this summer. Follow in the footsteps of this Fashionista and you’re bound to stand out this summer and take over the world, which is everyone’s dream, right?

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: While the products that this Fashionista used are considered high-end, this look can be recreated with any products you can find at the drug store! To recreate this look you will need a dark shadow of your choice and a dark vampy lip to match it. The key to this look is to blend your eyeshadow like you were born to do it. Blending is what diminishes any harsh lines and creates a beautiful transition between the eyeshadow and your skin tone. Also opt out on a bright blush, keeping the face simple will help to draw attention to your eyes and lips!
