BEAUTY BAR: Opposites Attract

Hello fellow Fashionista/os! Spring has sprung and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome the new season with open arms. In just a few more weeks the trees will be in full bloom, the sun will be shining and campus will be bursting with excited college students. Spring term is truly the best—everyone seems to head outside with beaming smiles, lighter clothes, new styles and renewed minds.

No matter the season, time or place, emphasizing your best features is one trend that will never go out of style. This Fashionista shared her greatest tip when playing up her features. First and foremost, a smile is the best makeup anyone can wear; don’t forget to put that on each morning. When focusing on the eyes, however, it’s best to look to opposites to enhance the color of your eyes and really make them pop. This Fashionista plays up her baby blues by using bronze and brown tones when it comes to her eye makeup. Using eyeshadows and eyeliners with these undertones creates a contrast that really allows the eyes to pop. Finding opposite color tones on the color wheel will surely play up your eye color and create a striking look.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: Embrace your eye color. Opposites attract, so if you have those big baby blues, opt for brown tones when it comes to eye makeup. If you have green eyes, reach for purple tones, such as plum or violet, and if you’ve got brown eyes, navy blues or shades of gray will be just the tones for you.
