BEAUTY BAR: Natural Two Strand Twist

Hey Fashionistas/os! If you have natural hair, you know that winter can be really hard on your hair. The dry air and wind can really dry it out and that’s not fun for anyone. During this season, sometimes the best solution is to just give your hair a break from the harsh weather and constant styling.

This Fashionista’s go-to hairstyle for the winter is small two strand twists. It’s an easy and cute hairstyle that also protects your hair. It can be a casual on the go look as she’s wearing here. She only wears this style in the winter because it’s easy, doesn’t require lots of constant maintenance and on a day with lots of wind and snow, it keeps the look neat and polished.

To get this look start with wet hair and part your hair wherever you want. To make styling easier, separate your hair into four sections. Then just take small sections of hair and twist away. Create as many twists as you want all over your hair. When you’re done you’ll have a full head of cute bouncy twists.

If you’re feeling really creative, you can style the twists in a variety of ways like ponytails or buns. Accessorize with a headband, hair clips, or hat on a particularly cold day. You can leave this style in for a few days and by the time you take it out you can rock a really cool twist out style.

What’s On The BEAUTY BAR: You won’t need a ton of products for this look. Use a co-wash such as Mane Choice Orchard as well as Mane Choice Orchard Hair Gel as your styling product. I would also recommend Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie as another good styling product. These will keep your hair from getting dry and create really defined curls when you take out the twists.
