BEAUTY BAR: Magnetic Eyes

Pick a feature. The part of your body that makes you incredibly happy; whether it’s your elbow, your left knee or your hair. There is something about everyone that makes them smile. Now, I never used to like my eyes, I thought they were too brown and boring, but now I see my eyes as my greatest feature. They have more color to them and shine and I feel like my eyes are the most expressive part of myself. No matter what I’m saying, if you look into my eyes you can read me like a book.

I spotted this Fashionista and noticed her eyes before I ever noticed her clothes. Her eyes were big and expressive and she had done what I could only call a “shiny smoky” and it made her eyes look magnetic. Beauty trends in the magazines have recently been declaring a bold lip to be “the look” and while I have been known to rock a bold red, there is something so classic about playing up the eyes.

The Fashionista kept the rest of her clothes simple, with black and white printed pants and a black tank top. It’s her makeup that truly pulls her look together.

So, pick a feature and play it up!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To play up the eyes and create a cool smoky you can use the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette and I like to use Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel Eyeliner. To make sure everything stays I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
