Besides having a killer outfit, the perfect makeup look can set an outfit up for several double takes. Aside from other people taking notice, a great makeup job usually brings a sense of confidence to a person, and that is what ends up shining through overall.
Walking through Chicago’s Millennium Park, this Fashionista was wearing a fabulous makeup look to complement her complexion and outfit. The pop of lip color shows off her lips and their shape. They have a great shape, so making them stand out is a must. She also wore incredible eye makeup. The cat eye has such precision I could only dream of imitating. The eyeshadow and eyeliner do an impeccable job of enhancing her gorgeous eyes.
To top off this makeup job that made me melt, this Fashionista was wearing a great summer outfit. The black oxford shoes brings in a hint of retro to the look, while the black and white striped shirt gives the outfit a classic detail. The skirt has a nice line of buttons down the front that brings the top and bottom together. Well done, Fashionista.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To achieve this look, you’ll need a dark red lipstick or lip stain, black liquid eyeliner and a smokey eye palette (or, if you want to keep it more simple, a gray eye shadow). Take your time with the eye liner; it’s not the easiest thing to apply. I would recommend starting with the eyeliner, then the eyeshadow. The rest of the face can easily be done after. I would also recommend doing your lips last so there is less of a chance for smudging.
