BEAUTY BAR: In with the Reds

The months of October and November are easily my favorite months of the year. It is the beautiful season of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, sweaters, apple orchards, haunted houses and cozy fall colors. Although I am an advocate for wearing dark colors and red lipstick year-round, there is something about fall weather and scenery that especially complements these hues and inspires people to wear them.

I came across this Fashionista on campus rocking a casual but clean look for class, which was pulled together by her bright, red lipstick. Her lace top complements the pattern on her sweater, and the dark red colors combined with her jeans and boots make this the perfect fall look. Putting on some simple makeup will always make you look like you put a lot of effort in to your look that day, even in the busiest times of the school year. For her makeup, she paired her bold, red lip color with light gold eyeshadow that was blended in for a sparkly look, one that is great for day or for night. These two makeup trends are universally wearable and easy for Fashionistas to throw on when in a rush but still makes you look natural and casual.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To complete the look, you will need a bold red lipstick (either matte or glossy), an eyeshadow palette with varying neutral and gold colors (this fashionista suggested any of the Urban Decay Naked palettes) and a bold mascara to make your eyes pop subtly.
