BEAUTY BAR: I Came, Eye Browsed, I Conquered

It doesn’t matter how perfect your foundation looks or how long your mascara makes your eyelashes unless you have the perfect eyebrows to complement all of that. Having the perfect eyebrows seems to be the newest trend in the makeup industry, and everybody is loving it. Eyebrows have become the make it or break it accessories of the face.

Knowing that your eyebrows hold such significance on the face can be quite intimidating. But creating a brow with a perfectly angled arch really isn’t all that hard. This Fashionista has the perfect eyebrow down, and she makes it look easy. There are many ways to create the look. First, it’s important to make sure your brows are cleaned up. This can be done by waxing, tweezing or threading, and I’m sure you can find other methods. Now, these can be a little on the painful side, but I was always told, “Beauty is pain!” I promise it’s not that bad once you get used to it. To make matters better, I always feel rejuvenated after getting my brows waxed.

On the less painful side, most people like to color or shade in their eyebrows with products that range from eyebrow pencils to eyebrow gel. These products are great because they’re cheap and can be found at your local drugstore. When trying to shade in brows, it is important to remember that less is more because extremely drawn on brows can look too dramatic. Remember, we want to complement the face, not take away from it. Plus, the summer heat could leave a little mess.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To create eyebrows like this Fashionista, it’s pretty simple. You will want to put a primer on first to make sure that the eyebrow makeup stays on and doesn’t look faded after a long day. Taking an eyebrow pencil, carefully and lightly follow the natural brow line that you already have on both the top and bottom of your eyebrows and lightly shade them in. Other products like eyebrow gels, mascaras and shadows can be used for filling them in. (Hint: To make life a little easier, many beauty companies have created stencils to help with this process!) Lastly, grab some concealer a couple shades lighter than your foundation to highlight the brow under the arch, right above the brow bone. This adds just enough drama to the brow.
