BEAUTY BAR: Highlight It All

With finals coming up and move out dates, it is hard to find time to do your makeup no more make sure your clothes look nice. This Fashionista took a simple T-shirt and jeans look and turned it into something else. This makeup look takes the entire outfit up a notch and shows how much of a difference the ideal lip or eye look can make.

This talented Fashionista went for a more natural, yet glowy look which is very on-trend this season. She achieved this by using a finishing mist before applying her foundation. For the spring especially, a sun-kissed glow is in, so she used different shades of highlighter on the hollows of her cheeks to make them shine. For the lips, matte is always in style even though glass is coming in hot. With a little bit of liquid lipstick, she attained the refined look. Another detail of this makeup look is the winged eyeliner. You can easily achieve this look yourself by using a liquid eyeliner, filling in your eyelid in small stroking motions, and setting them with a spray.

As far as products, she used Mario Badescu Facial spray with aloe, herbs, and rosewater, e.l.f. tone adjusting, BH cosmetics Carli Bybel eyeshadow and highlight palette for her face. The eye look was created using the BH cosmetics Carli Bybel eyeshadow and highlight palette and topped it off with Sephora colorful wink-it felt liner. Finally, she used the Revlon matte balm in “Fierce.”

The outfit to accompany this makeup look starts with a pair of distressed skinny jeans and a mauve, short sleeved top. A black and silver choker is the perfect addition to this look and it adds an edgy touch. Minimal or small jewelry helps keep the focus on the makeup instead of competing for attention and acting as a distraction. Lastly, the ensemble is completed with a pair of black combat boots.
