BEAUTY BAR: Hello Ombré

September 15th, 2015 at 2:10am

This Fashionista knows how to rock an ombré hair style! One of the reasons that I love an ombré look, is because it is it’s own accessory. Since the hair stands out on its own, this Fashionista kept the rest of her outfit simple, but adds a little bit of sparkle with her cool metallic shoes! The simple outfit helps to keep her hair as the center of attention, while the shoes help balance her out in style from head-to-toe.

This Fashionista is rocking a shoulder length hair cut that is perfectly framed by her gray cardigan, necklace and blue with hearts top. Simple colors help to keep the attention on the hair. A shoulder length hair cut with ombré is also amazing for a more petite Fashionista. If this Fashionista had longer hair with the ombré effect, her hair style would actually make her appear shorter. The ombré attracts attention to her hair, that acts like a ruler against the body, showing her real height. A shoulder length cut detracts from her height and draws attention to her amazing style instead!

This Fashionista is also rocking a pair of denim shorts that help elongate her legs so that she seems taller. The long shoulder bag adds weight to her outfit to help with the elongation effect. Everything from the hair to the clothes of this outfit helps this Fashionista stand taller!

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: This Fashionista had her ombréd by a stylist who happens to be her friend! So of course, this Fashionista has many great tips to share with us! This Fashionista suggests that the most important thing for keeping up with this look is to take care of it! Try using a shampoo that is specifically for colored hair like TREsemmé’s color revitalize shampoo. This shampoo helps protect the treated hair, while keeping it vibrant for up to eight weeks! Of course, the hair should still be conditioned, and this Fashionista suggests AG Hair Care’s toning conditioner- sterling silver. This product helps to eliminate the brassy yellow tones from blonde hair to keep it beautiful. After shampooing, leave the conditioner in for five minutes to keep hair moisturized. As an added bonus, it smells like coconuts! Dyeing your hair is extremely damaging, so try using Orofluido Mask twice a week to help hair regain moisture and strength, while keeping it smooth as silk! This Fashionista recommends using it after shampooing and conditioning your hair. Over washing your hair can also dry it out, but not washing can leave your hair feeling dirty and oily. Instead of hitting the shower, spray a little bit of dry shampoo in it. I use one from TREsemme to keep my hair feeling fresh. If you are lucky, you might be able to find a small travel sized one of this product in your local drug store. I keep a small one tucked into my purse at all times just in case I need to freshen up my look.
