BEAUTY BAR: Hair Envy

Big, small, messy, long or short—there are a million different types of braids a Fashionista can sport no matter the season. Braids have been a hairstyle of choice for years and years, but recently became more prominent during this year’s Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Braids were a popular choice among the stylists backstage; multiple designers had different types of braids incorporated into the runway looks, and truthfully, it looked amazing.

Braids are one of the easiest hairstyles to pull off and they look great on all face shapes considering that you can play with a braid until you’re satisfied with the way it looks! This Fashionista decided to go with a side dutch braid. After she braided her whole head, she went back and pulled the braid apart to make her hair look extra thick and luscious. As for her outfit, she was dressed perfectly for a fall day. By throwing a sweater over a cute summery, ruffled dress she was able to get more use out of her summer clothing for the fall season. She paired this with a pair of cuffed skinny jeans and some brown booties; this Fashionista was seamlessly put together from head to toe.

With the versatile nature of braids, you can instantly change up your look. By undoing half of the braid that this Fashionista is sporting and twisting your hair into a bun, it can give your look a whole new spin! So brush up on your braiding skills if you know what’s good for your hair this season.
