BEAUTY BAR: Grad Party Makeup

We all know that as the college students graduate, it can only mean one thing: parties! Today’s Fashionista is modeling not only her Michael Kors dress, but also stunning makeup to complete her look. Her shoes are regular flats with a back strap for easy walking at parties.

This look embodies day-to-day wear, but also just enough glam for a gathering. The dark parts of the dress accentuate the dark tone in her eyeshadow perfectly. Along with great eyelashes and a little bit of lip gloss, this look is a stunner. Her hair is straightened and simple so as not to detract from the makeup and the dress. To brush hair, use a special brush called “The Wet Brush” for the best results.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? First, apply powder or liquid foundation, like Jane Iredale Glow time full coverage mineral BB cream. Apply with a Clinique foundation brush to keep it smooth and even. Next, use MAC blush to accent cheekbones and add contour. Next, color in eyebrows with an angle brush using the fabulous Jelly Jar, brown from Jane Iredale, as well.  It covers and stays on brows for the whole day, which is important when hopping from party to party. As for eyeshadow, a favorite brand is Urban Decay Naked pallete 3. This palette provides the lights and darks to complete a look. By using light on the eye lid and brow bone, the dark color in the crease stands out. As for tools, brushes are the best. A favorite brand is TIGI. Brushes can come from anywhere with a range of prices. Target provides e.l.f. brand at a reasonable price, while TIGI provides more expensive ones that can be ordered online. Use an angle brush to put on eyeliner, or Liner/shadow. Wet the shadow and then use the brush as eyeliner. For the final touches of this look, spray Urban Decay’s makeup setting spray. This prevents any smudging or rub off during the day. This grad party look is complete with lipgloss from MAC and now we’re ready to go!
