BEAUTY BAR: Feline Fleek

When the sun is shining, so am I! Something just as small as sunshine can make any person glow with happiness. I spotted this Fashionista enjoying the good vibes that the beautiful Michigan weather was bringing. This fierce Fashionista was glowing with the cool browns and golds of her eye makeup. Against the solid black and white colors of her outfit, her bold brows and her feline cat eye made a statement.

This Fashionista created this bold makeup look by first priming her eyes with the Urban Decay primer and putting the lightest shade over her entire eyelid. Second, she blended a light brown throughout the crease. After that, she put the darkest shade on the outer part of the eyelid, and blended in the color to give the smokey eye effect. To get the clean, sharp cat eye, she used a liquid eye liner. The cat eye is always a tricky look to master and this Fashionista agrees, “There is no special trick to get a perfect cat eye, practice makes perfect.” For the brows, she used an angled brush and the darkest color on the Urban Decay eyeshadow palette.

A makeup tip from this Fashionista is to start with your eye makeup first and then do the foundation. Covering your face with foundation after doing your eye makeup will also remove any other dust from the leftover eye makeup. Another tip from this Fashionista is to use a q-tip when doing the cat eye to correct any mistakes that you might make.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: If you want to recreate this look, you’ll need the Urban Decay Primer Potion or another brand’s eye primer, the Urban Decay Naked2 Basic Palette or any eyeshadow palette that includes light and dark brown colors, the NYC Liquid Eye Liner or any other liquid eye liner and an angled brush for your eyebrows.
