BEAUTY BAR: Eye Love this Look

Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely love eyeshadow. My favorite thing to do is to create an eyeshadow look that highlights my eye color or makes my accessories pop. I’ve never had the idea of using different shades of eyeshadow to go with the changing seasons, but I absolutely loved it when I saw this Fashionista sporting these lovely fall-inspired warm shades on her lids.

Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette, this Fashionista captured the essence of the changing leaves by using the “Tempera”, “Primavera”, “Red Ocre”, “Buon Fresco” and “Cypress Umber” shades. She finished off the look with jet black winged eyeliner and some mascara.  One of the easiest mistakes to make when trying a look like this is overdoing it. Our Fashionista avoided that by using a subtle lip gloss that complements her eye makeup, but doesn’t draw attention away from it.

This Fashionista channeled fall with the rest of her outfit, too. This light Free People sweater is perfect for fall in New Orleans because it is breezy and lets you show off a little shoulder. The warm tones in the sweater definitely help her highlight her makeup.  I love the distressed skinny jeans that she completed the look with.  To finish the look, this Fashionista wore black ribbon sandals by Sseko. These shoes rock because of their versatility; they can be worn at least 50 different ways.  I love this Fashionista’s use of subtle accessories. The simple black choker and rings tie the look together without overdoing it.

If you’re looking for a way to spice up your fall wardrobe without buying all new clothes, just invest in some new eyeshadows. Eye approve this message.
