BEAUTY BAR: Dram Glam and Undercuts

Every now and then I wake up with an urge to add an extra little oomph to my outfit. In my “plainest” outfits I desire to add sex appeal that isn’t present in my ensemble alone. As I rummage through my makeup bag, I go through my routine—foundation, blush, eyeliner and mascara—but it still is not enough. What is a Fashionista to do?

This Fashionista is the perfect example of how to add what I like to call “Dram Glam” to your look. Dressed in black, she opted to wear a pair of fluttery falsies to demand real attention to her entire getup. Fake eyelashes come in so many different variety and styles, so every Fashionista can pick the pair that is perfect for her. From long, dramatic lashes to shorter, more natural pairs, fake eyelashes are a simple and easy way to up the ante of your look. She paired her falsies with a neutral face and a nude lip, creating the perfect combination of natural and dramatic effects.

Not only did this Fashionista steal the scene with her falsies, but she definitely called attention to her luxurious locks through a hair trend known as the undercut. Worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Kelly Osbourne and Miley Cyrus, undercuts are an easy and affordable way to change your day-to-day look. You can opt to shave the side (or sides) of your head, or follow in this Fashionista’s footsteps and shave a small portion of hair towards the nape of your neck. To take it a step further, you can even get a funky design shaved into your cut, making you “Dram Glam” everyday.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: If “Dram Glam” is something you feel you’re ready to tackle, you need a pair of falsies; long and full, or natural and wispy, as well as lash glue and a nude lip. If you think you’re ready to tackle the undercut, head to your nearest barber and experiment! The best Fashionistas are the ones who aren’t afraid to try something new. As I like to say, “It’s just hair. It will grow back, right?”
