BEAUTY BAR: Daytime Makeup Looks

Doing your makeup for class is fun and a great confidence booster, but how much is too much? You probably wouldn’t show up to your lecture looking like you would if you were headed to the bars. This Fashionista shows a great example of a beauty look that is appropriate for class—looking bright, natural, and beautiful!

When I asked about the products she used for this look, I was surprised that so many of them were affordable and purchasable at a drugstore (great news for girls on a very tight, college budget like me). Some of the products she used were Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation, Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional face primer, Stila Stay All Day liquid eyeliner, Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, Maybelline Great Lash mascara, and her eyeshadow and contour palette are from Makeup Geek.

This Fashionista says her biggest beauty influencers are Jaclyn Hill, Kathleen Lights, and Manny MUA. Her biggest piece of beauty advice is to practice and experiment with new things! One of the most effective ways she’s found to help her get better is on a night where she is just staying in doing nothing, she will try something new. She’ll try out putting on fake lashes, a bold eyeshadow look, or practicing doing winged eyeliner. It takes all the pressure off of trying something new and making it look good right away since no one will see you and you aren’t racing the clock to go anywhere, and if it comes out awful, the best part is it all washes off. Nothing is permanent.
