BEAUTY BAR: Crossing Over from the Dark Side

Spring has finally sprung! As the days get warmer and the end of the semester is in sight, there is no better way to welcome spring than having the ever-so-trending, natural, daytime smoky eye makeup.

With this Fashionista’s look, the natural colors of her face can be seen in her makeup, which in return complements her face so nicely. When thinking of the traditional smoky eye, you may think of it as something that should be worn when hitting the town at night or in dark settings. However, with this trending look, the use of browns, tans and pinks actually tone down the darker aspects of it. It can now be perceived as very natural looking. To give her face a final touch, she applied a bronzer and nude lip color.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To achieve this look, the Fashionista used her Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. She began by putting the medium to light pink color, Burnout, all over her lid. She then used Nooner to fill in the crease of her lid. Next, she lightly dabbed in Factory and Darkside, filling in the area where the eyelash meets the eyelid. She brushed these two colors out towards the corner of her eyes and then in an upward motion toward her brow bone. By doing so, she successfully blends the colors together to create a natural daytime smoky eye. Lastly, to finished this look, the Fashionista applied a bronzer to her face and applied a nude color lipstick.
