BEAUTY BAR: Coco Made Me Do It

The all-black outfit is a sacred tradition held near and dear to the hearts of fashion girls everywhere. Our featured Fashionista is the poster child for a monochromatic look. Colorless ensembles tend to look best with some sort of focal point. This Fashionista used her makeup to take her look to the next level.

From her porcelain doll skin to her cheekbones that could could cut glass, this Fashionista had a great palette for her gallery-worthy makeup look. Her trendsetting eye makeup was inspired by the Chanel Couture spring/summer 2014 runway makeup. Bumping a normal cat eye up a notch, our Fashionista simply added a sharp wing to her inner eye and a bit of holographic glitter on her lower lid. Our Fashionista cleverly opted to leave the rest of her makeup minimal to draw all of the attention to her eyes.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: This look is relatively easy to create, but every artist needs the correct materials—as well as a steady hand. I know, I know, achieving a cat eye is easier said than done, but the right eyeliner can make a world of difference. Try this pen, coincidentally from Chanel, that allows you to have as much control as possible. You could play down this look by simply using shimmery eyeshadow under the eye, but the loose glitter sure is fun. I have my eye on this Diamond Power in order to recreate this look for myself. Of course, no look is complete without a good base. I change lives every day by recommending this NARS foundation to those in need. It will not disappoint. What makes this look so great is that it can be achieved relatively quickly, but looks like you spent hours perfecting it. Even if the glitter falls on your cheeks a bit, it’ll just give off a cool-girl, carefree vibe. Have fun with this look, make it your own!
