BEAUTY BAR: All About That Face

In the humidity, it’s hard to find the motivation to do what I like to call “full glam,” meaning to put on a full face of makeup. Instead of the layers of foundation and eyeshadow, it’s easier to just put on some face powder, a swipe of lip gloss and pray you don’t sweat it all off. When I saw this Fashionista’s effortless makeup look complete with a pair of Wildfox sunglasses, I knew that she would be cool for the summer.

This Fashionista keeps her face fresh by not applying any cakey face makeup that can melt off in the sun. She brings the attention to her face by applying a coral colored blush to the apples of her cheeks. Showing by her lips, this Fashionista isn’t afraid to be bold. An orangey-red matte lipstick is the perfect partner when paired with her blushed cheeks and long lashes hidden mysteriously behind sunnies.

As I’ve said before, my favorite new hair trend is the half-up, half-down hairstyle. This Fashionista brings the trend to a new level by adding a ‘80s vibe by having her hair held up with a black cotton scrunchie. This hairstyle is perfect for second-day hair. Just spraying a little dry shampoo before putting it up will add body to the ponytail and your hair will look just like you got it done at the salon.

As for her outfit, this Fashionista pulls the look together by wearing a printed romper paired with the signature gold Tory Burch sandals, and the perfect amount of jewelry. In all, the boldness of the lip doesn’t take away from the print on the romper at all and this Fashionista does an incredible job with mixing and matching colors. She’s ready to take on a humid August day.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: In order to create the look this Fashionista has perfected, you will need a bold lipstick, preferably in a red-orange shade. Also, I recommend a matte lipstick because it’s very on-trend lately. Also, a bright coral blush to finish out the look because you don’t want to have too much heavy makeup on your face. Finish off the look by throwing on your favorite pair of big “movie star” sunglasses.
