Hey Fashionistas! This month I wanted to write about the power of makeup. Let me start off by saying that even though I love fashion and have makeup artistry knowledge, I´m a very washed-face kind of girl. I feel comfortable that way (and I hate having to remove makeup from my face at the end of the day) but that doesn´t stop me from recognizing what an awesome thing makeup can be.
Even though we may be confident and feel pretty in our own skin, makeup has the power to elevate your hotness level. It sounds silly to say it and it’s something we obviously all know, but sometimes forget when we need a little pick-me-up. There are times when looking pretty on the outside can help boost our mood and makeup is always there for us.
I don’t know about you guys but for me buying makeup is a thrilling experience every time. Clothes and shoes are great, but makeup!? You can literally never have enough. And then the expiration dates and bacterial issues give us yet another excuse to keep on browsing those glorious aisles. Okay, enough daydreaming and back to you dear Fashionistas!
Sometimes things are pretty just because they are simple and create harmony together. This is what I found with the Fashionista who inspired me to write this month. However simple items also need a special something to tie them up even if it’s something small. In this case that was the girl’s makeup. Subtle, romantic, dramatic and mesmerizing. I didn´t think this could all be possible at the same time, but boy it can! Just check out the second picture and see for yourself. Along with her nude lips, simple hairdo, delicate earrings and girly charm it was simply a match made in heaven!
Finally, a tip for all brown eyed girls—make those beauties pop with a hint of blue eyeshadow! The tone that works best depends on your specific eye color but when you find it you’ll realize it was worth the research.
