Our Style Gurus know a lot about a lot. One thing they tend to be experts on? How to rock their campus in style.

After three years of experimenting with fashion, University of Kentucky Style Guru Anna Coke has really honed her Fashionista skill set. And her classmates and the CollegeFashionista community have definitely taken notice.

Now as a senior, we asked Anna to spill her style secrets and dispense her sage advice to the new generation of lowerclassmen around the world. Read on to get inspired to step up your fashion game this back-to-school season.

CollegeFashionista: What’s your favorite part about returning to school?

Anna Coke: Being with my friends! There’s nothing better than being doing all the fun fall traditions with people you love.

CF: Where do you look for style inspiration?

AC: Pinterest! I always have at least 5 different tabs open of style boards I love.

CF: Do you ever save looks for campus that you wouldn’t wear at home?

AC: I usually save my most simple outfits for campus. Most days I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off, so I typically just try to wear things that don’t get in the way.

CF: How do you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall?

AC: I add layers to everything. Fall is the best time of year because I can wear all my favorite summer outfits with all my favorite fall pieces. There’s really nothing better than wearing denim shorts with a big chunky sweater.

CF: What’s the one look you can’t wait to try this fall?

AC: Thigh high boots. I got a pair at the place I interned this summer and they are absolutely amazing. I can’t think of a better item to pair with everything.

CF: If you could only bring three clothing items to school this semester, what would they be?

AC: A striped shirt, a flirty dress and the perfect pair of jeans.

CF: Any tips for getting the perfect street style shot?

AC: Be confident! When I feel uncomfortable, it always shows. Keep your shoulders back, chin down and smile big. It’s a full-proof way to look fabulous no matter what you’re wearing.
