Hi, again! I’m Shea Kroez and this is now my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I am honored to continue writing for the STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK column for Binghamton University.
This past fall, my experiences have enabled me to capture the broad variety of trends that we use to demonstrate our individuality each and every day. I have learned that fashion is an essential factor to our unique character and distinct taste. Exploring some of the season’s most popular fads, such as tribal print, chambray, studded boots, faux fur and oversized knits, allowed my fashion identity to develop as well. Acknowledging the trends that surround us is important to the evolution of our own sense of style. Innovation is the key to progress, and innovation comes with exposure to the cutting-edge. The original ensembles that inhabit Binghamton’s campus culture inspire my style, and I hope to relay that inspiration through my weekly articles.
CollegeFashionista provides me the means to broadcast the personal artistry with which we clothe ourselves daily. That being said, I am very excited for the upcoming season. It is a pleasure to remain part of the team. This spring, I hope to challenge readers to use clothing as a tool to communicate with the world without words. By dressing in accordance with your specific stylistic preferences, you have the ability to reveal a part of the person you strive to be, an opportunity that should not be overlooked or taken for granted. Rediscover those brave garments lost in the depths of your closet to create expressive outfits that highlight your personality.
