How’s it goin’? I’m Lia Gorogianis, a 19 year old world traveler who likes to dress super funky for all occasions. As a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago, I’m majoring in both English and International Studies with a minor in French Language and Literature. This is my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista. YIPEE! I also work as a stylist for Free People. I guess you could say I’m a busy gal, but that doesn’t mean my sense of fashion suffers; it only gives me more of a reason to stand out. For me, looking different is key. You want to make people notice, right? And I KNOW you want to feel good about it, too.
Having said that, fashion is one thing I really love; well...that, and dogs. But who doesn't love puppies?! Anyways, in my opinion, fashion is the best way to convey a message without having to say a word. You can learn so much about someone JUST from the way they present themselves. Everyday, when getting ready, I try to let my clothes convey a message. What type of mood am I in today? What type of music do I like? Am I a tomboy? Grunge? A rocker? Let your clothes do the talking. After that, you can let your wacky personality shine through. Do you want to stand out or blend into the crowd? I think we all know the answer. So, with that, release your confident self, and remember, you're your best accessory.
