This week’s Fashionista exudes New York street style effortlessly with a flair of personality. After meeting on a few occasions, I discovered that she combines business savvy and fashion on her own online vintage boutique. Her blog and Instagram are chock full of Lookbook-esque photos that would make any gal jealous of her stylish threads. I view Diandra’s style as one of the best of the many unique styles that we house here at SCAD Atlanta.
Name: Diandra Skeffrey
Major: Fashion Merchandising/Management
Year: Junior
CollegeFashionista: How would you describe your style? Does it embody the spirit of Atlanta or some other big city?
Diandra Skeffrey: Unique, defiant and very blunt; it embodies the spirit of a chic, young chick living in Soho, New York.
CF: Tell us a little about how you combine your fashion sense and entrepreneurial spirit with your boutique.
DS: I combine my fashion sense with my boutique by picking unique and selective pieces. Each item is hand picked personally by me with love. I make sure each piece has a story or statement. I love to be different, and I want my customers to feel the same way.
CF:Do you follow any interesting bloggers or have your own blog?
DS: I do not follow any interesting blogs but I do have a blog of my own on tumblr.com/diandraanika
To find more about Diandra and her endeavors, follow her on Instagram (kiwi_lipstick), Tumblr and on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/diamantnoirboutique); you can also check out her online boutique (http://www.diamantnoirboutique.com/).
How To: To achieve Diandra’s downtown city glamour, check out the new Prabal Garung collection at Target. The bold use of color in the button-down and short look and the bright yellow dress, as well as the chicness of the black and white floral look, should have you set for downtown this spring.
