Pops of vibrant color, layers of clothes, those delicious Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes and of course, the most invigorating fashion trends is what fall (sartorially the best time of year, if I do say so myself) is all about, right? Okay, okay throw some back to school study sessions into the mix, but I for one would much rather be brushing up on what’s hot for fall than where on campus my classes are held; lucky for me I study fashion, so mixing my passion and school go hand-in-hand.
This fall, I’m honing in on the bold jewel-toned colors and the statement-making prints that are taking over this season’s trend boards. To my surprise I came across this Fashionista who embodied those exact things. Donning an adorable polka dot dress layered with a neutral knit sweater, this Fashionista is pure perfection. What really caps off this look is the way it is accessorized. With vibrant purple locks complemented with a beautiful golden yellow necklace tied together with a simple meshed metal bow belt, this Fashionista really gives some edgy pops to her sweet ensemble.
In order to imitate this look, there are a few different approaches you can take. But first, start off with simple patterned dress, whether it is polka dotted or any other pattern, prints are in for fall so have some fun with it! Add on a solid, neutral-colored sweater or even a knotted button-down shirt and now you’re ready to begin choosing vibrant accessories. Grab a statement necklace in a bright hue that complements the other colors of your outfit. As for the pop of color in your hair — like this Fashionista demonstrates so flawlessly — you don’t have to go out and permanently dye your tresses, you can opt for a temporary technique simply by trying out this Color Bug. If that’s still a bit too drastic, try getting some colorful, bold hair pieces to spice up your look.
Transform your fall wardrobe into pops of brilliant pieces — from accessories, prints and maybe even a different hair color. Doing this, you will certainly be on trend this season and be one fashion-forward Fashionista!
