I firmly believe that every town should have a one-stop shop for purchasing all of your colorful fashion needs. These days, head-to-toe black and neutrals are celebrated as the height of fashion, and even though I wear more black than anything else — colors should be an important part of every girl’s wardrobe. Especially in the summer months, you want your wardrobe to be a bright spot in your day, literally. Pink Narcissus of Gainesville has you covered when it comes to color, sparkle and shine. Oh, and all the Lilly Pulitzer you could ever possibly want.
Name: Sarah Bootcheck
Role: Sales Associate
CollegeFashionista: Would you say you sell mostly to sorority girls or is it a mix of customers?
Sarah Bootcheck: It’s a good mix. We get sorority girls, we get moms, grandmas, little girls. One of our biggest clients works at the university, so it just depends.
CF: What’s your favorite item in the store right now?
SB: I love this pair of patterned pants from Lilly that we have in right now; they’re super fun. My second favorite would have to be this Lilly dress — I love tassels.
CF: How do you think the store has changed since it opened?
SB: When we opened in August 2013, we only had the fall Lilly collection; everything was very sparse. Now, a year later, we have stuff from fall, stuff from resort and all the spring and summer collections. The amount just multiplied. And I think we’ve evolved along with our clientele. We didn’t really know what to expect almost, but I think we’ve evolved. Our jewelry isn’t Lilly, we get non-Lilly jewelry now, so I think those tastes have evolved as well.
