Name: Jennifer Sheu
Role: Manager of Emory Point store and E-Commerce supervisor
CollegeFashionista: What makes American Threads so unique?
Jennifer Sheu: Well I think that we carry a lot of different clothes. It’s very different from other stores around here and other boutiques because we carry a lot of boho chic things, like kind of trendy and new. It’s kind of refreshing, I think, because a lot of the stores around here just carry the same stuff.
CF: How would you describe the American Threads girl?
JS: Free spirit definitely! Very brave and bold and is not afraid of things in life. And adventurous!
CF: What are some trends you are looking forward to this season?
JS: I am a big fan of baby doll dresses right now and I like floral a lot. And I’m really glad that those are coming back.
CF: What is your favorite item in the store?
JS: My favorite item, I bought this the moment I knew we were going to order it, was the Show Me Your MuMu dress. It’s adorable! I don’t know… I just love this style of dress. Like I said I like baby dolls and the print is like so adorable floral. See two things, two things! My favorite trends in one thing and it’s just so cute and I love that brand.
CF: How do you think American Threads fits in the Atlanta/southern vibe?
JS: I don’t think it necessarily fits in the sense that we are Southern or you know Atlantan. I think it is very different than what Atlanta is used to. And we do a lot of our buying out in L.A. so I think it’s different from everything else. But I think it’s good for Atlanta because Atlanta needs to be newer and more refreshed.
