AROUND TOWN: Alexandra Papale

Around Town

Do you usually take note of stylish sales associates? No? Well, join the club. I usually walk into a store with a focus; my aim is to find exactly what I need (well, usually it’s a want, not a need) and then get out. This time things went a little bit differently for me. On Saturday, a friend and I were window shopping at American Apparel in New Haven when I noticed this Fashionista.

Name: Alexandra Papale

Role: Sales Associate, American Apparel

CollegeFashionista: What is your favorite in-store item?

Alexandra Papale: We stock these oversized chiffon button-ups that I absolutely love! They’re very versatile and can be styled in many different ways.

CF: What is the strangest thing ever to have happened to you while you were on duty?

AP: One day my fellow coworker and I found a pill bottle full of urine in the changing room! It was weird, confusing and humorous all at once. Strangest thing to ever find at work!

CF: Name some reasons why you love coming to work.

AP: Well, first and foremost, I love the atmosphere of my job! It’s a very relaxed and fun environment. I love the creative freedom I have; I can express myself through my clothes and be genuine with customers. I also love that American Apparel sells many basics from tees to leggings and even a variety of denim. Such basics are never ever going out of style!

Learn More: New Haven has a lot to offer. It’s a city known for its world-renowned pizza, the famous Yale University and now stylish sales associates. The next time you’re in town, be sure to explore and splurge a little at the American Apparel on 51 Broadway Street. If you need some assistance, make sure to ask for Alexandra and tell her that Bernice says hello!
