Now that fall is in full swing, the first things I think about are fall colors. Oranges, reds and yellows! This week's Fashionista at FIT has the perfect fall school bag. Around campus this Fashionista rocks an orange Michael Kors tote that is perfect against neutrals like her gray blazer from Ann Taylor LOFT. The size of the tote is big enough to hold all your schoolbooks and perfect for toting around from day to day.
I love the way the orange tone stands out and pops. It’s not bright enough to be considered neon, but definitely gives the same effect. Orange can seem like an intimidating color but is fun and quirky. And you don’t always have to go for a bright orange, more muted, deeper oranges work for fall as well. Several celebrities were spotted on the Emmy 2012 red carpet in orange dresses. Tote bags, I believe, should be an essential in any Fashionista/o wardrobe. They can carry all your necessities during the day for school and still work on the weekends.
Many designers have totes in fun creative prints as well. Marc Jacobs is always coming out with new and exciting prints for his line Marc by Marc Jacobs. Jacobs also offers different sizes of totes, from small to large! If you aren’t into color but want a great faux leather tote Forever 21 have a great one at a more affordable price. This one includes both longer and shorter straps.
