It’s come to that time when winter has crept up on us way too fast. Break out the scarves and gloves! Scarves are a really great fashion piece that can be worn year round. My favorite time is the winter because it gives you a sense of coziness and a comfortable feeling.
Scarves literally come in all shapes, sizes, prints, patterns and fabric. You can never find two of the same one! This FIT Fashionista has a printed infinity one worn perfectly with a leather jacket. What caught my eye about this one was the metallic threading throughout. It’s very faint, but gives a sparkle when close up.
Any Fashionista/o can make scarves fit their own personal style. There are so many different and cool ways to wear them. I’ve recently seen people on campus simply draping the scarf over their shoulders. That type of look is perfect for a little warmth in a chilly classroom or even at a formal event to keep from overexposure.
Scarves can be found anywhere and at any price point. This fall I’ve been seeing tons of prints, which are great. My personal favorite is the skull scarf from Zara. It’s really edgy and fun. If you’re looking for a thicker, luxe scarf Michael Kors has an extremely cozy looking one.
Spotted: Donna Karan sent models down the runway with scarves in spring 2011.
