Sometimes it's the accessories that make the outfit. Although this Fashionista's basic look of a pastel maxi skirt paired with a black croptop is summery and stylish, it is her jewelry, sunglasses, and bag that truly take her from being just fashionable to a true Fashionista.
Because I am a sucker for chunky collar-style necklaces, this Fashionista's thorny tri-metal neck candy is punky perfection. Not only is it a statement accessory that looks more like a wearable piece of art, but jewelry that includes rose gold, gold AND silver makes matching hardware on shoes and purses much less arduous. As industrial as her necklace is, this Fashionista was able to add a whimsical and seasonal touch by wearing a hot pink rose ring, which then drew my attention to the awesome iPhone case she was holding. The case from Urban Outfitters was designed by street artist Shepard Fairey and is just one of the many choices that show his artwork.
Yes, the shape of this Fashionista's sunglasses is perfect, but my favorite thing about her Zara sunnies was their screaming yellow ear hooks, which served as perfect little accent pops of neon. Between her killer shades, adorable black hair bow and buttery leather Marc Jacobs bag, this Fashionista knows how to add the right amount of finishing touches to take an outfit from redundant to rad.
Spotted: Pops of neon yellow brightened up Oscar de la Renta's otherwise neutrally toned Resort 2013 collection.
