WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

What to Wear

Well, it’s about that time again. It’s about to be the most wonderful time of the year. No, it’s not Christmas. It’s the glorious season where our favorite artists and bands go on tour. I, along with many other students, will pretend that we’re not broke college kids and spend money on a ticket for an amazing show. So what if we’re living on Ramen noodles for the next couple of months?

As soon as I purchase my ticket, I immediately start thinking of what I am going to wear. You’ve got to wear the right thing. The outfit has to be unique and fashionable, as well as have a level of comfort that makes dancing easy. Yes, an outfit can be fashionable and comfortable. It’s mind-blowing!

This Fashionista does a seamless job — sorry for the bad fashion pun — of being trendy, yet comfortable. See, it’s not impossible. By wearing an all-black ensemble and a skull chiffon shirt, she brings out a rocker-inspired look. I know what half of you are thinking — skulls are scary, or at least that’s the response I have been getting lately. I believe that’s not the case at all. There’s a stylish way of wearing this latest trend without looking like a member of the Addams family.

She pairs her printed top with a beautiful cross-studded leather jacket and a pair of combat boots, which will be easy to move around in. To complete the ensemble, she adds a chucky ring and an earcuff. These accessories add a hint of color and sparkle to the otherwise monochromatic outfit.

Whether you’re going to be singing “Thrift Shop” at a Macklemore concert, “One More Time” at a Maroon 5 performance or “I Knew You Were Trouble” at Taylor Swift’s next show — even this pop-country star has released a track that we can rock out to — an edgy ensemble is always fun concert attire. This spring, put on that standout outfit and get ready to lose your voice (because of your high-pitched screams). Guys, I’m talking to you too.

One Simple Change: Her combat boots are great for comfort at a concert. Replace the shoes with a pair of heels to transform it into an outfit for a Girls Night Out.
