Just ask this Fashionista, whom I spotted looking exceptionally cozy and cute on her way to a circuits course — who’s to say you can’t have both beauty and brains? This Fashionista pairs basic black leggings with a casual cotton henley and a fur vest — an addition that adds style to any ensemble. Her Charles David “Regiment” boots were what initially caught my attention with their intriguing brown/gray color. Alex Valcourt: I practically live in my Splendid chunky sweaters.
CF: How would you describe your personal style?
AV: My friend once joked that I dress “hobo chic,” and I realized that it's such an accurate description. Comfort takes precedence in my wardrobe — I feel like I’m always wearing slouchy sweaters, leggings and layers.
CF: What is one item you’re looking to add to your wardrobe this season?
AV: I would love to try a pair of subtle, leopard print jeans, but I don’t know if I’m daring enough to pull those off. I think leather leggings would be a trendy alternative, too.
