Style Guru Bio

In my eyes a girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. In fact they go hand in hand. Being a girl is what life is all about. We don't need an excuse to dress up nor dress down; and we certainly aspire to shop till we drop. Fashion to me is like a religion; I read it and practice it everyday, I preach it to those with lack of knowledge and most importantly I breathe it. Although fashion certainly has not been apart of my life for a long time, it has definitely changed my life for the better. This summers colours are all about neons and pastels. With the trends kept in mind you can either style it up with neons or dress it down with pastels. In this picture I have kept to my figure wearing a tight fitting black dress paired with a see through blue pastel blouse. I paired it with a beige bag and black wedges. Colourizing your wardrobe is simple, easy and cheap. You can check out sales in H&M, Urban Planet and Sirens to help sprinkle colours.

I've been into fashion since I was in grade 11. It started off being a fluke taking the fashion course. I started to get the hang of sewing and actually became really good at it. By the end of the semester I missed going to fashion class, so I knew I needed to do more. By grade 12 I was entered into a peels school competition where we had to sew a skirt within 4 hours. It was overwhelming but a lot of fun. I ended up being the only student from my school to finish and I came in fourth place out of 20. It was a really big inspiration to me to get into the fashion industry. I always find myself wearing funky things, making clothes inspired by the earlier decades, consulting others on what to wear. I even have my very own website highlighting some of my outfits and blogs. I love looking at other people's clothing, blogging about their outfits, intrigued on other people's style and I'd love to share to the world what George Brown students really do have to offer.
