FASHIONISTA SPOTLIGHT: Haddie Cooke

Uncategorized

I caught this Fashionista wrapping up a day of shopping along “the drag” near campus. Her street-savvy color palette, layering and general fashion-consciousness struck me as unique among the usual throngs of T-shirt-and-jeans wearers. She also successfully pulled off this season's popular leather jacket and the ever-stylish fedora, so I stopped her to chat about her look.

Name: Haddie Cooke

Year: Junior

Major: Communication Design

CollegeFashionista: Where are some of your favorite places to shop?

Haddie Cooke: Well of course the usual, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21. I also really like Francesca's a lot and Metro Park, even though it's a little bit pricey.

CF: How would you describe your style?

HC: I would probably say it's relaxed, but with an edge to it. I like a lot of neutral colors like cream, black and gray.

CF: What's your go-to accessory for any outfit?

HC: My rings are my favorite, and I just love silver jewelry in general. Two of the ones I'm wearing are from James Avery, then one is from a London street market, the little thin one is from France and the thumb ring is from my mom's trip to England.

How To: To make this Fashionista's look your own, leather jackets can be found for those on a budget at Forever 21. More edgy, printed tops can be purchased online at AllSaints, where she found hers. Classic fedoras are almost always stocked at Urban Outfitters, and black boots and unique jewelry with a history can be picked up at vintage shops like New Bohemia on South Congress.
