STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Chunky Sweaters

Style Advice of the Week

The constant rainy weather in Los Angeles has most of us wanting to stay indoors. If we do go outside and face the waterworks, we have been bundling ourselves in layers, jackets, boots and umbrellas. Although the forecast is unappealing, it’s an excuse to wear casual and comfortable clothes, which is what this Fashionista did. Appropriate for snuggle weather, she donned an oversized sweater, a colorful scarf, black jeggings and gray boots.

Rain never really makes you want to dress up to the nines or test those new leather boots. Sometimes, you just want to take the cozy things you wear at home, outside. However, you don’t want to look like you just came out of bed. Take note from this Fashionista and make chunky sweaters your go-to item. They’re extremely comfortable and snug, yet still trendy to be worn out. Pair them with skinny jeans or jeggings to emphasize the shape and design of the knitwear and to give the outfit good proportion. Don’t forget to add some brightness to the gray day by accessorizing with colorful scarves, hats or headbands.

Wearing relaxed and comfortable items doesn’t mean you have to look like you were being lazy on the couch watching television all day. By pairing the one cozy staple item with other items that polish up or adorn the outfit, you’ll have the casual, effortless and stylish look down.
