ACCESORIES REPORT: Layered Mayhem

Accessories Report

Everyone accessorizes differently, one of the beautiful liberties of fashion. There are those of us that choose a simple Michael Kors watch to accentuate a clean, classy look. Then there’s those of us that dress in terms of, “the more the better!” Personally, I vary. Some days I want to be drowning in layers of detail, while other days I’m feeling a little more humble. Here, this Fashionista displays “the more the better” style, looking fabulous underneath her layered mayhem. This is definitely a genuine replica of a true Philly Fashionista. Philadelphia Fashionistas’ style tends to be full of trinkets and details that pull together to make the perfect Bohemian grunge collaborative.

Although this layered look has faded from the runways, it’s now the center of street style. You find students everywhere imitating this trend. Free People and Urban Outfitters have become the leaders of the style, for it seems the two are almost every college student’s favorite store. This Fashionista’s accessories exemplify the trend to perfection with the mismatch, layers and matte colors.

Why wear one scarf when you can wear two? The more the better. Using one scarf as a shawl and the other as a neck warmer, this Fashionista doubles up as she draws attention to her shoulders. Although these two pieces seems to steal the spotlight, don’t be fooled —there’s a few more details to focus our attention on here. The rips of her stockings add some grunge to her bohemian style. Without being too loud, the tights keep the influence tasteful. Upon her right shoulder she carries a simple school bag but doesn’t allow that to be her only option. Carried in her hand is an adorable change purse that adds a touch of charm to her wrist and a pop of pretty color to her outfit. Finished off with thrifty shoes and a touch of natural makeup she wears the look to perfection. All the credit here goes to her endless accessories, for her style wouldn’t be anywhere near as exciting without them.
