Name: Meredith Gershon
Major: Interior Design
College Fashionista: What are you wearing today?
Meredith Gershon: Most of my pieces come from various designers but I got everything from Madewell. I love that they’re constantly changing their inventory and I’m a huge fan of all things Beyoncé so I also love that her sister, Solange, is one of their spokes models!
CF: Who’s your biggest style inspiration?
MG: My biggest inspiration is most definitely my mother. She has a sort of sixth sense when it comes to fashion and staying edgy with her clothing.
CF: What’s you favorite staple piece this season?
MG: This season it has to be leather leggings. You can dress them up or down, they’re always warm and always sassy.
CF: Do you have any style tips for fellow Fashionistas?
MG: When in doubt? “What would Beyoncé do?”
How To: Maxi skirts are perfect for both your winter and spring wardrobes. Tuck in a sleeveless top to a printed maxi skirt and wear it around campus on a bright sunny day or cozy up in a slouchy sweater and pair your skirt with some flattering ankle boots. To add something extra, throw on a strand or two of necklaces, such as this Fashionista did, to make your ensemble a little trendier.
