Now that we're reaching the end of Decemeber, it's finally the moment we've all been waiting for: Pantone has offically announced 2013's Color of the Year! Emerald Green is said to be next years it color and will be incorporated into various items such as home decor, dishes and cookware, clothing, beauty products and most importantly, accessories.
This Fashionista added a touch of emerald to her outfit with a nice leightweight scarf over a denim button-up. She also has a stunning emerald green ring outlined in gold and complemented by a gold bracelet on the other hand. Gold looks great with emerald and adds an extra hint of class when worn together. She tied her look together with a pair of fabulous fringed leather boots, a favorite amonst many Fashionista's this season.
The best thing about the color emerald is that it represents a sense of elegance. Whenever I think of emerald green, I automatially think of beautiful gems and red carpet gowns. Since most of us won't be walking the red carpet though, you can add the same look of elegance with something from your glamorous college student closet! Try adding an emerald gem statement necklace to a subtle winter dress, or top off your ensemble with a green cocktail ring and matching bracelet. If you want something casual that can be used everyday, add a pair of emerald studs to your look or invest in a nice handbag. Emerald green is a great color for handbags and the right one will last you a lifetime, or at least long enough for 2014's Color of the Year to be announced!
However you decide to showcase the upcoming Color of the Year, I can assure you that everyone in your presence will be going green as well–green with envy, that is.
