The brisk Kansas wind has made its debut and fall is finally in season. This means it's time for those fabulous new boots to make their debut. And more importantly, layers are finally in season.
It’s time to turn over a new leaf and try stepping outside the box this fall season, or in our case, outside of the boot. Instead of the typical brown boot that most every girl on campus owns, search for a new pair that will showcase your own flare. When it comes to boots there’s an endless amount of designs, colors and materials to chose from, making it easy to find the perfect pair to represent your own personal style. One of my all time favorites this season is the combat boot; fashion risk and statement all in just one pair of shoes. A simple singular color will be easier to pair with your fall ensembles, but if you’re looking to really make a statement go for for a distraught pair of black boots or some with a studded embellishment.
Another great trend to fall for this season is the moccasin boot. As if the actual moccasin flats weren’t warm enough, they now have this style in an ankle boot and tall boot. Not only do they add a unique vibe to your look, they’re also totally comfortable for walking around campus in.
This Fashionista is a blast from the past in her tall black boots. They include an interesting strap design across the front as well as multiple silver buckles along the side. The best part though, is the chunky heel inspired by our favorite decade, the '90s, of course. To complete her fall look, she’s layered her favorite thrift store find with a black long sleeve T-shirt and gold accessories, which are great for any occasion, any season.
For a tall pair of boots similar to these, I would suggest investing in a durable pair of real leather boots that will last you throughout the fall and winter season. For those of you who prefer materials of a different source, stores like offer boots made from faux leather.
