I am a sophomore Fashion Merchandising major at the beautiful Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. I am so excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team and bring you the STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK for this next semester.
I like to take my inspiration from magazines, street style and also my trips abroad. I hope to bring you all a taste of European trends that are found right here in the U.S. on our college campuses. In my travels to Italy, Switzerland and France I saw many trends that I think will become hugely popular in the next few months.
Some of these trends I have even adopted myself. A neutral palette and accessories that add interest and a pop of color characterize my everyday style. When shopping, I gravitate toward tailored, feminine pieces that incorporate well with the rest of my wardrobe. Being a college student on a budget, I love searching the racks of TJ Maxx and Marshalls for the newest and latest fashions.
I can’t wait to bring you the latest trends from my second home at Marist College. I admire those who inject creativity into their outfit and show off their personality with their style. Fashion to me is a form of self-expression and should be utilized to everyone’s maximum potential. I hope to show you all how to incorporate new trends and ideas into your own personal style!
