A rising trend in men’s fashion is a polished look that is fit for a true gentleman. Runways are reflecting the popularity of bringing back the dapper and sophisticated style for the average man; I am all for this “no more pants on the ground” idea. Also, it is taking us back to real style when men took the time to look nice and cared about how they appeared to others. Maybe it is from the popular show “Mad Men,” or the positive male role models such as Ryan Gosling, David Beckham or the Mad Man himself, Jon Hamm. As encouraged by Valentino’s Men’s fall 2012 Pitti Uomo Collection, the classic look is back and it is here to stay.
This Fashionisto is a prime example of easy polished style. His old school look mixed with a little new age flare is perfect for any occasion because he does not appear dressed up, but still looks pulled together. He rolls up his Burberry pants for a little interest that gives his style a more casual vibe. These Levi's give off the same slim look as this Fashionisto's pants. Also, this makes his shoes a centerpiece to his outfit. This Fashionisto’s Florsheim loafers add an important touch that make his look stand out and give him that clean cool look. Wearing a simple and comfortable button-down shirt is another easy way for any guy to up his style while getting away from wearing that same old T-shirt every day. Finally, this Fashionisto decided to wear a vintage dream catcher necklace, which adds that extra cool factor to his already awesome look.
Many guys will still be hesitant to try this trend, thinking it is too “old-fashioned” or “uncool.” However, they will soon see that adding these statement pieces will not only make their casual wear comfortable, but will also get them noticed for their fashion sense.
