ACCESSORIES REPORT: Head Banded Together

Accessories Report

Recently, I have written quite a few articles about trickier trends, the ones not everyone thinks they can pull off, but are all the rage nonetheless. Sometimes all you need, though, is a little encouragement and confidence to rock these particular trends. When I spot someone who might not be the first person I would think to see sporting such a trend, owning it like they invented it, always sparks my interest. That’s why when I spotted this Fashionista, I instantly fell in love with her look.

In Southern California, it’s impossible to avoid the hippie-chic trend, and this Fashionista grabbed it by the horns and made it her own with this chain-link headband from Nordstrom paired with a rocker-chic ensemble. The graphic T-shirt, skinny jeans, and motorcycle boots lend a grunge aspect to her look, while the headband accentuates the flirty, hippie-chic side, while still maintaining the outfit’s theme with the chain detail. This Fashionista created a multifaceted look while simultaneously proving that headbands can be versatile, accenting more than just the classic hippie-chic look.

I remember the first time I tried a headband. Prior, I was not a fan of the hippie-chic accessory, but my first time sporting it changed my mind completely. Now, I pair headbands with almost any outfit. They come in so many different styles and look great with everything from a chunky sweater and leggings to high-waisted shorts and an off the shoulder T-shirt. Personally, I love pairing them with a bad hair day!

While I myself have found it difficult to rock some trends, I always have to keep in mind that the best accessory is confidence. I encourage all of you Fashionistas to rock your favorite tricky trends with confidence and poise. That way, you can’t go wrong when mixing trends like this Fashionista, or even just sticking to what you know!
