All Fashionistas love their shoes. I know when I find the perfect pair of pumps I can’t help but plan out all of the outfits I’m going to pair them with before I even get them out of the store. The problem with some pairs, though, is that they can’t be worn with just any outfit. This really limits the wear these gems are going to get (because all Fashionistas know that there will be a new perfect pair next season). So, I always love to see how Fashionistas give some of their more glamorous pairs a chance to shine when paired with a casual look.
This Fashionista is a great example of a casual outfit and fabulous shoes in perfect harmony. Her black Jeffrey Campbell ankle boots certainly seem like more of a night time choice, but she brings them back to the daylight by rocking them with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a silky white blouse from NASTY GAL, and a cheetah print belt to tie it all together. The boots themselves make a statement: the chunky platform heels characteristic of Jeffrey Campbell shoes are bold and super trendy. Most of the time, though, Fashionistas don’t break these pairs out except to accessorize a “going out” look.
This Fashionista proves that if worn with the right pieces, these dramatic shoes can grace the daytime. Her choice of a silky white top and darker fitted skinny jeans gives the look the right amount of formality so as not to look mismatched; but these boots would also look fabulous paired with a graphic tee and a mini skirt. The versatility of these glamorous shoes is underestimated, and I personally want to make sure to give my Jeffrey Campbell boots the love they deserve next time I’m thinking about adding a bit of glam to my more casual outfits.
