I am obsessed with today’s Fashionista; there’s no other way to put it. From head to toe she’s somehow boyish, sexy and girly all in one. Her golden brown locks hang beneath her black beanie, popping against the blues of her cool sweater. She has naturally curly hair, but like a lot of Fashionistas she straightens it. There’s no doubt that straight hair can be a lot easier to take care of, although a sleek mane still requires its share of maintenance.
This Fashionista uses Moroccan oil to hydrate and condition her hair. The brand Morrocanoil is harder to come by, whereas Organix Moroccan Argan Oil is sold at drugstores. Organix also offers a blowout cream, which is good for protecting hair from styling heat while adding shine and silkiness. I actually choose to flat iron my hair without any product in it, but will use the cream as a finishing step for extra polish.
Besides being in-the-know about one of the best hair treatments, this Fashionista has mastered how to make a fresh outfit by putting together unexpected pieces. Her lace-detailed skirt is actually a dress, which she pairs with a chunky sweater: when you pair a dainty, flirty dress with a chunkier knit sweater or crewneck sweatshirt you get a fun, cozy look that makes your clothes feel new again. Layer on black tights (I also like to do knee-high socks) and slip into boots or creepers. Now you are the queen of downtown chic. Don't forget the beanie!
